WELCOME!

Create A New Habit

Prepping for 2025

OMG! Peace and Love to all. Hope you’re well. I’m here, you know how it is.

Anyway, just dropping by to bring you up to speed on the latest with my planners IG. I started posting stories every day now about creating a new habit. That’s right. I’m prepping for those new New Year’s Resolutions.

Don’t roll your eyes. New Year’s Resolutions work, if you want them to. Many people give up because they don’t the change bad enough. Like me trying to get that ripped body after 50. We think it’s not serious enough to work for it. It’s on my list for one day😅

Oooh, did I trigger a flashback. My bad. Don’t go, keep reading. Now it does take work, but it gets easier as you go. What am I talking about? Creating a new habit.

Creating a habit takes a minimum of 21 days to create. And yes, even after those 21 days you can go back to your old habits. I have good news. It gets easier. Once you’ve created that habit, and you’ve kept it for at least 3 months, it gets easier to keep it. You may flail a bit. Stop doing it and lose momentum. But it you want it the habit is there. And if you’ve kept it for 6 months, it’s like eating cake. You want to get back to the habit, you get back to the habit. That is provided months and years haven’t gone by since you practiced that habit last.

Habits can be fragile things at first. Once you’ve created it and stuck it out, it’s like your favorite thing that you love and miss once it’s gone. When that happens that habit is so much a part of you you go back to it.

First, you must build it. So join me on IG as I build the habit of not doing everything but sleeping in my bed. My bed is comfy. I sew, crochet and draw while sitting in bed watching my shows. There’s one big problem with that, it affects my sleep. Second thing, it’s bad for my back. And mostly, I have trouble sleeping. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a night owl. So I’ll be up, creating something new. But when I lay in that bed, I want my body to say, okay, it’s time to sleep or do one other thing😆

Peace and Love
