Crochet

I love to crochet. I learned to crochet when I was a little girl of 9 or 10. Her name is Ms. Chase. She was my grandmother beautician.

I was living in Barbados at the time with my grandmother going to school and enjoying the free time after school. My grandmother thought it was a good idea as I had already learned some embroidery in school. Ms. Chase bought the thread and a crochet needle and showed me a single crochet stitch.

Years later and I mean years, I picked up yarn and a needle again and began to crochet a blanket for my friend’s baby. I’ve done quite a few blankets since then. I’ve made for myself, my children, cousin’s daughter, my sister-in-law, etc. I wish I took pictures of them all so I’d have them to show you.

Below are a few crochet projects I’ve created. Next week I’ll let you see my latest crochet project.

Like so many women I wear different hats. Sometimes all at once, sometimes one after another. I'm a mother, teacher, daughter, sister, friend and writer. That doesn't include my love to create things. I love working with my hands to crochet, draw, mix natural products and the list goes on. This blog is an extension of that love. Join me and see how I Live Love Create.
