Countdown to War 4

Peace and Love Everyone!

Hope you’ve had a wonderful week. I’m continuing the countdown to the upcoming Hrithik vs. Tiger movie War. It’s scheduled to release October 2, 2019. Which if you look at the poster below is the same date that Bang Bang was released in 2014.

This week I’m reviewing Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang. His co-star for this movie was Katrina Kaif while not my favorite Bollywood actress she appears to be equally matched to Hrithik as far as being able to keep up with him on the dance floor of this movie.

Bang Bang happens to be one of my and my daughter’s favorite Hrithik Roshan movies. It’s a Bollywood remake of Knight and Day. After watching both of them again, Bang Bang is the version I like better. And it’s not just because Hrithik is one of my favorite Bollywood actors; Tom Cruise is one of my favorite Hollywood actors. So favorite to favorite, Hrithik wins out.

Bang Bang is a funny, romantic, action-packed adventure. Hrithik plays Rajveer Nanda a thief and Katrina plays Harleen Sahani a bank receptionist. The two meet when Harleen is sitting in a restaurant waiting for her internet date. Rajveer sees her and decides to detour, he sits with her and pretends to be her date. She being none the wiser because she’s never seen the guy she’s supposed to be meeting is infatuated with Rajveer. The adventure between the two begin.

Before I go any further you need to know, I was not a film student, so I cannot critique from that perspective. My movie reviews are strictly opinion.

Now, many people are very critical of Bang Bang because not all of the action is believable and they thought the script could have used some work. I won’t comment on the writing other than to say most of it worked because that would require me to watch the movie again and I wanted to post this by noon. As for the action sequences, I loved them, and there were a lot of them. I believe, I said in one of the other reviews that I’m mostly interested in being entertained. I expect to see amazing stunts that can only work with a stunt crew, camera tricks, and animation. If I wanted to watch reality, I’d watch the news.

With all of that said, I give Bang Bang 🤩🤩🤩 and 1/2 starry eyed emojis.

Next week I take a look at all three Krrish movies, Koi…Mil Gaya, Krrish and Krrish 3.

Peace & Love.
