Peace and Love everyone!
I hope you’ve had a great weekend. As it comes to a close and we start as new week, I wish you and your family a great week.
I know I’m late with the next installment of my Fame fan fiction. I need to work on my scheduling so that I can fit in what I neede to do in a timely manner.
Anyway, I’m bring you the next chapter of ‘Someone to Lean on’. Hope you’ve been enjoying my juvenile fan fiction.
“Hi, Chris. Have you seen Jesse and Nicole?”
“Hi, Allegra. They’re over by their usual table.”
“Thanks, see you later. Hey Jesse, Nicky.”
“Hi Pablo, Allegra, I see you made it.”
“Yeah, we did. So this is old Lou’s? It hasn’t changed much at all. Have a seat, Allegra. I’m going to say hi to Lue.” Pablo walks over to the area by the bar. “Hey, Lue, how’s it going.”
“It’s okay, Pablo. Haven’t seen you around in a while.”
“Yeah, I’ve been working hard. I just brought my girl here.”
“Now, Pablo, I hope you’ve stopped seeing those…” Lue was interrupted.
“This girl is special.”
“Who is she?”
“Jesse’s cousin, Allegra.”
“Really? Treat her well.”
“I will. Allegra’s back in my life, and she means a lot to me.”
“Yeah, okay. Well, I’ll let you get back to your girl while I get back to work. It was nice seeing you.”
“Same here, Lue.”
The voice of the MC, ‘now ladies and gentlemen, we have something special for you. Would you please give a big hand for a pretty lady with a lovely voice, Allegra.”
“Thank you, Chris. It’s great to be here in the big apple. I’d like to dedicate this song to my one and only.” She began her song. Her voice was gentle and sweet.
“So, Pablo, tell me, how do you know Allegra?”
“She was my girlfriend in Los Angeles. Then when she came here, Jesse reunited us.”
“If you don’t mind my asking? What made you part?”
“Who said we did? And I do mind. It’s none of you’re a concern.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Since you’re more into getting to know Pablo, I’m going to play a video game.”
“Jesse, it’s not like that,” replied Nicole. Jesse ignored her, so she turned back to Pablo. “So Pablo, why don’t you drop Allegra and go for someone older and more sophisticated.”
“Oh, do you know someone. I mean, Alle is the best woman I’ve known. But I might consider if you find someone.” Nicole was quiet for a few minutes. Visibly upset at his reply, but moved closer to Pablo as he focused his attention to Allegra on the small stage.
As she approached the table, ‘Alle, thanks for the dedication.”
“No problem. It was worth it,” Allegra replied, sitting on his lap backing Nicole. “No problem. I just wanted you to know that I’ve always loved you and always will.”
“Me too, babe, me too. Come on, let’s go home.”
“Sure, see you, Nicole. See you in class.”
“Yeah, sure.”
“Bye, Jesse.”
“Bye, cuz, don’t I get a hug?”
“Sure, see you tomorrow.”
At the apartment, they began to get ready for bed.
“Allegra, you know she did try to make a play for me. But of course, I didn’t accept it.”
“Why not?”
“One woman is enough. Two is hard to handle, and you are hard enough. I can’t take one more.”
“Am I that hard to handle?” Allegra began to pout.
“Oh yeah, babe, a handful.” Pablo laughed. “Come her gorgeous.”
Allegra smiled as she walked toward Pablo, who was sitting on the bed.
“You really want to sleep?”
“I’m kind of tired. I promise you I’ll make it up to you.” He hugged her tightly. “See you in the morning, goodnight.”
“Night, sweetheart.”
“No.” Allegra popped up in bed, her nightmare seemed stronger than before. She started to breath harder.
“Allegra, what’s wrong? Babe?”
“It’s back, I keep seeing it again.” Pablo drew her close to him and embraced her.
“It’s okay, Alle. I’m here, I’m here. Alle, I’m alive.”
“I know, now.”
“Think you can get back to sleep?”
“Maybe, don’t let go.”
“I won’t.” Allegra rested her head on Pablo’s chest. It’s going to be okay.” He tried to calm her and get her to go back to sleep.
Pablo was up early, wating his beloved as she slept. Allegra looked so peaceful. It reminded him of when they were back in Los Angeles. He thought of how much he loved her and how happy he was that she was back in his life.
“Jesse, I’m glad you came by. How is Allegra?”
“I saw her yesterday after school. I guess she’s okay. She and Pablo really are good together. He takes care of her.”
“That’s good. I’m glad she found someone to help her. Those nightmares overnight were starting to scare me.”
“What nightmares.”
“She kept seeing Pablo dying in her arms.”
“Oh, my poor Manchichi. She never told me about them.”
“She’s was too ashamed. One night she didn’t sleep at all. She stayed up all night and wouldn’t tell me why. The night she got up screaming, she told me. Her past still haunts her, and it will as long as her father stays here.”
“Wow, I didn’t know.”
“Yeah. Excuse me.” Ms. Grant walked a few feet to get the phone.
“Hello…Yes, this is Ms. Grant…Yes, officer Green. How can I help you?… He what? Oh, God, no! Well, thank you for letting me know.” Ms. Grant hung up the phone. “Jesse, Mark, just got out on bail.”
“Damn. Can I call Pablo from here? They should be up by now.”
Allegra was still sleeping when Pablo answered the phone. “Hello…Hey Jesse, what’s wrong? You sound upset…What?… Jesse, if this is a joke, this is cruel man…Well, this isn’t good news at all. I’m going to call my uncle and let him pull some strings for me. I want that man strung up…Goodbye. Damn you, Sutton, I’ll have you pay.” The last statement woke up Allegra. She walked out into the living room.
“Honey, what’s wrong?”
“Oh, I’m just upset because yesterday my stock fell. I forgot to check the prices.” He couldn’t bring himself to tell her.
“How dear they arrested me and had the nerve to press charges. Those bastards, sons of bitches, little whores. They will pay. Everyone will pay.”
“Pablo, I’m so glad you were with me last night and that you’re here now.”
“I’m glad too. We can start over. Build our lives again.” What Pablo was really thinking was ‘when her stepfather is dead or in jail, we will be able to start over.’ “You know I love you, Allegra.”
“I love you too, Pablo.”
“Hey, how would you like to speak to your mom?”
“I’d love to hear mama’s voice. I miss her a lot.”
“That can be arranged. Pablo reached for the phone and dialed his parent’s number. “I’ll give you the number so you can call whenever you want to…Hi mom…Yes, it’s me, mom… I’m okay, how are you?… How’s dad?… Yeah, I found her mom. She’s back in my life…. She’s fine, she’s here hold on.”
“Hi, Mrs. Rosas…Hi mum…, I’m okay. How is everyone?….Hi mom…Estoy bien, mama, y tu?…Yo soy, I’m happy to be with Pablo. I only wish we were all together….Love you, mom…Bye, mama.” Allegra hands Pablo the phone. “Okay, mom….I will… I’ll call you all next week…Goodbye.” Pablo turned to Allegra. “Your cheeks are looking rosy. Happy?”
“Yes, and do you know why?”
“No, why?”
“I’m with you, and I love you so much.”
Pablo smiled as he embraced her, bending down to kiss her lips. “I love you. Anything you want to do today?”
“I’d like to spend the day with you like we used to back home. Just the two of us. Nothing else matters.”
“Sounds promising.”
“Maybe. What do you want for breakfast?”
“No, I’ll make it. You shower and dress.”
“Okay.” She murmured to herself, “what am I going to wear?”
“Remember what you used to wear when we spent Saturdays at home.”
“Yes, I have it, but it’s not that warm in here. But I have something I think you’ll like. Why don’t we take a shower together, I’ll help you with breakfast.”
“Okay, let’s go.”
After their shower, they headed to the kitchen. “So, what are we making?”
“I saw this recipe on Carnival eats. I wanna try. It’s a french toast sandwich. So I made sure that we had all the ingredients.”
“Sounds tasty. Where do we start?”
“Let’s make the french toast and sausage going.”
“Get all the ingredients out, I’ll be back. I need to make a call.” Pablo walked into the living room and grabbed the phone, taking it into the den. “Johnson is my uncle there?… Yes, just a moment…A lot going on uncle Xavier. I can’t talk long Allegra will miss me in the kitchen….Her step father got out on bail. I need you to help get him off the street before he hurts Allegra or me again. I want us to get on with our lives, and we won’t be able to do that with him on the street…Please, uncle, try. I don’t know how long I can keep it from her.” Just then, Allegra walked into the room. “I’ll talk to you later…Bye.”
“Who was that?”
“My uncle. Are you ready to cook breakfast?”
“I started the french toast using the croissants we have. You can make the eggs and sausage.”
“Not a problem.”
Sutton walked into a gun shop on Madison. He was furious about what happened at Xavier’s.
“Can I help you, sir?” Asked the salesperson.
“Yes, I’d like to buy a magnum forty-five and a silencer.”
“Okay, I take it you know a lot about guns. This is our latest model. I won’t be able to sell you the silencer, though.”
“How much is the gun?”
“With tax, it’s two hundred and thirty-seven dollars and forty-three cents.”
“I’ll take it.”
“Breakfast was great. We can’t eat like that often.”
“Thanks. I appreciate the help. I guess we can, though.” Allegra began to clear the table of the dishes and maple syrup. “What do you want to do now?”
“We can see what’s on tv or watch a movie.”
“You haven’t changed a bit. Still, like kung fu flics?”
“Yep. We should still be able to catch one.”
“No, Godzilla, please.”
“If we’ve missed the kung fu movie, I’ll pop in a VHS.”
Allegra smiled as she washed up the dishes.
“Hurry up, one is on. Leave the dishes.”
“I’m almost done. What’s on?”
“Drunken Master.”
“Cool. I’ll be done. Okay, finished.” Allegra walked over to join Pablo on the couch.”
“Sit right here.” He pulled her down on the couch and placed her legs over his.
“Just like old times.”
The two watch for a while, Pablo rubbing her legs and her feet. “You know, Allegra, after all, that has happened to you, I thought you would have changed. But you’re still the same person. So sweet and humorous, considerate. I can go on, but I think you get the point.”
“I do, but you can go on and on and on.” They both laughed before kissing and fondling each other.
“We interrupt this program to bring you a special broadcast. We are looking for this man. He is armed and dangerous. Police are asking anyone with information on him to call 1-800-223-6777. More on the ten o’clock news.”
“Pablo, that was a dad. How could he be running the streets if he is in jail?”
“Allegra.” He reached to kiss her again, hoping to distract her. She moved to avoid his kiss. Pablo took a deep breath. “He got out this morning on bail. I didn’t want you to know. I have my uncle pulling strings for me. I hope they catch him soon.”
“Me too. Pablo, I’m scared. What if dad finds us?”
“He won’t.” Just then, the phone rang. Pablo reached to the table behind the sofa. “Hello.”
“Yo, Pablo, it’s Jesse.”
“What’s up, man. You heard.”
“Yeah. I take it Allegra knows now?”
“We were watching a show when the emergency broadcast came on. I’m going to call the precinct and see if I can find out what Sutton did.”
“Okay, call me back and let me know.”
“Sure.” They hung up, and Pablo called the precinct number that he was given. “I’d like to speak to Captain Jenko, please…Yes, Captain, this is Mr. Pablo Rosas… I’m well, thank you. How’s the family?… Glad to hear it… I’m calling to find out what’s going on with the Sutton… He’s my finance’s stepfather…Yes, we were there…I see. Are there any leads?… I see. Please keep me in the loop, Captain….I know that…Thank you.”
“Pablo, what’s going on? Are there any leads?”
“He’s wanted for the murders of a gun shop owner, a mother, and daughter outside of the shop.”
“Oh my God. I know you’ve brought me too far to leave me to know.”
“Yes, he has a babe.” Pablo kissed her lips gently before embracing her. They sat that way for a while. “Allegra, one more thing.” She looks quizzically at him. Pablo brought out a small black box and opened it.
“Pablo, it’s gorgeous.”
“Will you marry me? After you finish school, of course.”
“Yes, I will.” The two embraced. Allegra was so happy, feeling that things were finally going her way. But the thought of Mark stole her peace. She couldn’t help but wonder if she’d ever be rid of him. Pablo pulling away broke her train of view, and she looked up at him.
“Let me call Jesse back.” Pablo got up and walked into the den. “Jesse, man…. He’s wanted for three murders by the Madison Avenue gun shop…I think you do that will just frighten Allegra. Plus, he might follow them. He doesn’t know where she is right now…I know. I could always hire someone…Fine. No, I dont’ want to do anything that would put her at risk…Alright, thanks, man.”
Pablo almost hung up when he heard another tv update.
“We bring you another up to date from the channel nine newscast. The police have just told us that tis man has stolen several guns from the shop. He is not to be approached, he’s armed and dangerous.”
“Yeah, man, please. Alle’s not gonna be good with this.”
“Pablo, now I’m more scared.”
“Allegra, Jesse is sending Tony and crew until I can hire a bodyguard. We’ll be okay. You’ll see, nothing with separate us.”
He put the phone on the table behind the couch again and sat close to his beloved. He wanted to take Allegra’s mind off of the circumstances and began to move his hand across her body. She began to watch him with heavy eyelids. He leaned over and kissed her again, just as the doorbell rang. Pablo got up to open the door.
“Sorry to bother you. I just wanted you to know we’re here. There will be two outside your door at all times, and we’re keeping an eye on the building.”
“Is all this necessary?”
“Gotta keep you two safe. I had to call in a few favors, but I know you’re good for ’em.” I know, but all this is making Alle more upset.”
“Tell her it’ll be okay and that we’re here to keep her safe. Go back to your girl, we’re here now. Everythings cool.”
“Thanks, man.”
“No problem.”
“Who was that at the door?”
“Tony. He and his crew are here, so we’re safe. Nothing to worry about.”
“As long as I have you, there isn’t anything to worry about.”
He tightly embraced her and kissed the top of her head. To think he almost lost her was more than he could take. It was destroying him before she returned to him. Now that she was back, he wasn’t letting her go.
“Now I have a gun and am wanted by the police. I have nothing to lose if
I kill Allegra and Pablo. My dear Allegra, daddy’s getting revenge. The little whore won’t know what hit her.” He laughed. Sutton was obsessed with his daughter and her boyfriend’s death. Nothing else seemed to matter. Thoughts of her begging him for her life made him happy. He laughed again as he fondled his new gun.
Stay tuned next Saturady for the next installment of my Fame fan fiction, ‘Somone to Lean on.”
